About the Role
To define and own the long-term hardware architecture and platform strategy for embedded products at General Industrial Pvt Ltd. The role focuses on system-level design decisions, technology evaluation, and reusable frameworks that ensure scalability, compliance, and innovation. The Hardware Architect translates business requirements into technical architecture, sets design standards, and provides technical direction across teams to build future-ready, competitive product platforms.
Key Responsibilities
System Architecture
- Define hardware architecture for new embedded product platforms
- Make system level design decisions for embedded hardware products
- Decide MCU/MPU selection based on product requirements
- Select communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, and industrial protocols
- Define power topology, isolation, and protection architecture
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical architecture
- Build scalable and future ready hardware platforms
- Collaborate with firmware, software, PCB, mechanical, testing, QA, and manufacturing teams for architecture alignment
Standards & Best Practices
- Create reusable hardware design frameworks and platform strategies
- Define hardware design standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Ensure consistency in design methodologies across projects
- Review PCB layouts and hardware designs for architectural compliance
- Support DFM activities and manufacturability improvements
- Guide teams on system level design practices and technical standards
Technology Evaluation
- Evaluate new ICs, components, technologies, and design approaches
- Review hardware designs for architectural alignment and optimization
- Support component selection, alternate component evaluation, and technology upgrades
- Analyze emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies
- Contribute towards innovation and competitive product portfolio development
- Support field issue analysis and technical problem resolution related to architecture
