About the Role
We are looking for a passionate, driven, and intelligent Domestic Sales Engineer to spearhead sales and business development activities across the assigned territory. This is a high-impact, client-facing role that demands technical depth, sharp commercial instincts, and an unwavering commitment to winning. You will be the face of the company to customers, channels, and trade partners — building lasting relationships while relentlessly growing revenue.
What You Will Do
Lead Generation & Opportunity Management
- Identify and pursue new leads through direct outreach, website inquiries, India MART, exhibitions, social media, advertisements, trade shows, and market research.
- Qualify inbound inquiries; understand customer requirements and present tailored company solutions.
- If the lead qualifies, convert it into an opportunity and deliver a compelling company presentation.
- Understand technical requirements and product requirements from customers.
- Track opportunity-to-win ratio and continuously improve conversion rates.
Sales Execution & Pipeline Management
- Move approved opportunities to RFQ and manage the full sales cycle through to closure.
- Take technical approvals for product demos and programming.
- In case of opportunity loss, inform respective stakeholders (Commercial Management, Technical R&D) promptly.
- Start payment follow-up based on payment terms agreed in the Purchase Order.
- Prepare a schedule of daily customer visits and execute with discipline.
CRM & Reporting
- Update all leads and opportunities in the CRM system with accurate details (name, address, bank details, payment terms, credit terms).
- Submit samples if required, and update appointment status, claim travel expenses — all in CRM.
- Attend quarterly review meetings and keep data timely and accurate in the system.
Market Intelligence & Customer Relationships
- Gather data on available opportunities, competitive environment, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Maintain strong, trust-based relationships with existing customers, dealers, and channel partners.
- Handle customer complaints proactively and resolve issues at the earliest.
- Seek customer feedback regularly and ensure ongoing improvement in handling customers effectively.
- Liaise with internal teams: Sales Head (strategy), Product Management (market feedback), Application Engineers (field support), Warehouse & Logistics (order execution), Customer Quality (warranty & returns), and Product Engineering (spec clarity).
