Job Description

Market Intelligence

1. Preparing cross reference charts for designated products

2. Pricing & Discount structure

3. Competitor product application analysis

4. Track new product launches

5. Attending tradeshows

6. Regular communication with sales team and dealers

7. Maintaining application data base

8. Preparing application notes

9. Update sales team on key achievements & Success/failure stories

10. Market segmentation for designated products

11. Conducting Primary & secondary research

12. Coordinating with market research Agencies

New Product Development

1. Identifying new product requirement (From Management & Sales team inputs)

2. Market analysis of new products

3. Visiting prospective customers to identify new product requirement

4. Conducting secondary analysis

5. Prepare Market requirement Document

6. Share the MRD with Prod Eng. & R&D

7. Co-ordinate with Prod. Engineering team to Create Tech specifications for the new products

8. Attend product release meetings

9. Verify the release document specification with the MRD & identify gaps if any

10. Collaborate with marketing / marketing communications teams to define the marketing plan, including marketing communication activities, training activities, sales initiatives and trade show activities.

11. Produce collateral to support the sales, technical teams and agents/distributors e.g. brochures, application notes, technical documentation, sample kits.

12. Coordinate and support to maintain Website, LinkedIn and other digital marketing platforms.

13. Create and update product brochures, highlights, catalogues, posters.

Product Lifecycle Management
1. Finding Growth & Pricing

2. Pricing Analysis

3. Analyses & Monitor ASP(Average selling price) to ensure that ASP is within the required limits and highlight abnormalities if any

4. Incase of any abnormalities in ASP, identify the root cause in terms of sales engineer and account.

5. Conduct region wise, segment wise and customer wised ASP analysis

6. Monitor & control discounts to maintain the ASP

7. Finding Growth

8. Define product wise target accounts in consultation with the sales Managers.

9. Monitors progress of target account activities against established goals.

10. Responsible for the profitability of the product line by defining pricing & discount guidelines & being competitive in the market.

11. Provides management with strategic and tactical plans to increase sales and market share.

12. Develop and deploy the marketing strategy for product ranges to maximize sales

13. Sales Support

14. Act as the initial interface to the sales team for all questions/queries related to product line.

15. Ensure technical and commercial support to Sales team for customer negotiations.

16. Direct sales team towards the most significant (strategic) accounts and help them penetrate these accounts.

17. Visit customers with Sales Engineers to provide credibility and/or to initiate new development projects.

18. Get updates from customer service and quality teams on resolution of field issues and customer complaints.

Product Marketing
1. Collaborate with marketing / marketing communications teams to define the marketing plan, including marketing communication activities, training activities, sales initiatives and trade show activities.
